He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and has served as the Vice President and Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). Possesses 15 years’ experience with KPMG Pakistan, including 6 year as Partner. Currently he is Senior Partner Junaidy Shoaib Asad (JSA), Chartered Accountants, a medium size firm with offices in Karachi, Lahore & Islamabad operating for over 16 years firm has 8 partners and an aggregate nationwide staff strength of over 100. The firm is a member firm of Morison Global.
Mr. Junaidy also remained involved on diversified consulting assignments. In particular, on project appraisals, their implementation and monitoring, development of business processes, forensic assignments for fraud detection, reorganizing business, diagnostic studies, implementation of internal controls and developing management reporting standards. He has hands on experience of developing & implementing Business plans and remain involved on assignments for identification of business risk and recommending safeguard against such risk. He also possesses ample experience of dealing with Government Authorities and Financial Institutions.
As partner, KPMG Pakistan for direct & indirect tax (VAT) services, he was responsible for risk management for all tax client and remained country quality assurance partner for tax services. He served many local and foreign clients and represented them before various governmental authorities like Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industries, Economic Co-ordination Committee, State Bank of Pakistan, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Federal Board of Revenue, Board of Investments, Stock Exchange etc.
He was one of the key members on the tax reform administration study, responsible for carrying out studies on fiscal statutes and was an associate to the Task force on Sales Tax constituted by Government of Pakistan in 1999. The assignment lasted for almost a year and on the basis of finding many amendments were made in Sales Tax laws.
In the past, he also served as Group Chief Financial Officer of Large conglomerate. He was actively involved in plant expansion and modernization. He was also instrumental in implementing ERP (SAP) solution in the 13 group companies.
Mr. Junaidy successfully obtained the Certificate from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance. Serving and has served on the board of public interested and listed companies as an independent Director. These include Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (a subsidiary of Federal Board of Revenue), Karachi Stock Exchange, Crescent Steel and Allied Products Limited, Pak Qatar General & Family Takaful, Central Depository Company of Pakistan Share Registrar Limited. He is on the Board of Morison Global, Asia Pacific Board.
